How to Change Default Download Location in Chrome on Windows 11

By default, Chrome saves everything you download into the same folder. That’s fine at first, but over time it can get messy — especially if you download a lot of files for work or daily tasks.

Unless you changed it before, Chrome uses the standard Downloads folder inside your user account.

How to change the default download folder in Chrome

You don’t need any extra tools to do this. Everything is built into Chrome.

• Select Settings
• Click Downloads on the left
